Be sure to try the fish kokoreç, a traditional dish made with grilled fish offal; the perfectly grilled turbot, which is the house speciality, is also a must; and let's not forget the dried mackerel, nor the buttery-soft tuna lakerda prepared with house-made olive oil. A word to the wise: The best way to experience Kahraman Altun's cosy fish restaurant is to bring friends and sample as many of his traditionally prepared delicacies as possible. Afterwards, you should definitely take the time to explore the surrounding fishing village of Rumeli Kavağı (also known for its figs). This peaceful corner of Istanbul is sure to enchant you.
