This restaurant has been run by the same family ever since it first opened in 1884. Stefan Püngeler now represents the youngest generation at the helm, putting the emphasis on good seasonal produce. Mediterranean and French-classic inspired dishes are served, as well as a gourmet set menu. There are also a few classics on the menu. The wine list focuses on labels from the region. Accommodation is available in the small Sonnenhof hotel in the neighbouring village. For hikers, Dernbacher Haus on the edge of the forest is perfect for a pit stop.
