Situated away from the busy tourist centre yet easily accessible by car, this restaurant is home to an elegant wine bar (on the right when you enter the building) and a modern dining room with a few designer-style features (on the left). Despite the contemporary ambience, the food at Kogo (the name is the Slovenian word for “cook”) is traditional and includes a huge selection of cheese and charcuterie (from Slovenia and further afield), followed by main courses that focus on meat (although fish dishes also feature). There’s also an impressive wine list with detailed descriptions on a tablet.
