A farm in Masuria, around 190km north of this appropriately named restaurant, provides produce for the chefs’ wholesome dishes that showcase big, gutsy flavours. Not all of the ingredients are local however, with the speciality in-house butchered steaks coming from Japan, Australia and beyond – the delicious beef dripping chips are the ideal accompaniment. The wine list is concise yet varied, while the bottles are stored on copper racks that suit the simple, rustic aesthetic of the room.
