Behind the dark blue façade on the Mariaplaats, plants and cacti dominate the floral decor at Le Jardin. The front of the restaurant is more intimate; the back is brighter and airier, but it is cosy and inviting throughout. This is a lively place, both in terms of the atmosphere and the cuisine. "Groentenomie" is the name of Tamara de Borst's culinary concept, which builds on vegetables and herbs; meat or fish can be added, if you wish. Rooted in French tradition, her cuisine incorporates innovative twists and occasional Asian seasonings. Think fleshy pumpkin with a herby crunch, a fruity jus with mandarin and a succulent pollock fillet. Garden produce at its best!
