A whole host of traditional dishes such as the rice-based “arroz de rabada”, “baião de dois” (black-eyed peas with rice) and the unmissable Bolinho de feijoada (fried feijoada dumplings) are just some of the dishes served in this restaurant, which has become a popular culinary focal point in the northern part of Rio de Janeiro. Here, well-known chef Kátia Barbosa creates cooking with a focus on typical Brazilian dishes with influences from the north-east of the country, all of which are prepared with meticulous detail and lots of flavour. In this completely relaxed and informal setting, decorated with hammocks hanging from the ceilings, the pleasant garden and friendly staff make you feel very much at home. Make sure you also try the innovative and amazing cocktails!
