With its pleasant, upscale decor, gorgeous courtyard terrace and excellent food, the restaurant in the family-run Hotel Neumayr is certainly inviting. Ambitious cuisine is served as a set menu or à la carte comprising sophisticated, meticulously crafted dishes made from the finest ingredients. Take, for example, the saddle of chamois with juneberry, purple curry, wild mushroom, red cabbage and celeriac. Game and offal specialities are a firm fixture on the menu. The owner's œnophilia is given away by the impressive wine list, which comprises over 2 000 labels. The selection is international, but Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Burgundy take pride of place. Such a range of small bottles is also something one does not often see. The waitstaff are highly professional yet friendly and approachable.
