This lively restaurant is an institution in Neuhausen. In an outwardly unassuming building on a residential street, diners can look forward to a five- or six-course set menu comprising flavourful pared-down dishes such as lake trout with oxheart tomato and porcini mushrooms. The top-quality ingredients (mostly organic or Demeter produce) are sourced in the Alpine and pre-Alpine regions. The pleasingly laid- back atmosphere is in no small part down to the friendly, attentive and unpretentious service, which also includes expert advice when it comes to the fabulous wine list (with a focus on Austrian wine-growing regions). In summer, the secluded inner courtyard terrace beckons. Tip: Try out the shorter three-course early evening menu (until 7.30pm).
