Hung Tao was the first restaurant in Kaohsiung to specialise in soup dumplings. Remodelled in 2020, it now boasts a trendy light wood-colour décor with orange banquettes in a brightly lit room. Steamed vegetable dumplings stand out in particular – beautifully shaped like a leaf and stuffed with green bok choy. The free-range chicken soup is crystal clear and flavoursome; mung bean pancake is the perfect way to end a meal.
