Martin Fauster is no stranger to the restaurant scene, having proved his culinary pedigree during his years at Munich's Königshof. Now, in his Freiburg restaurant, he remains true to his principles. In a well-kept historical building in the pedestrian area (the terrace is delightful in summer), he cooks up classic cuisine made with excellent ingredients. The punchy sauces, jus and stocks are by no means the least of the taste sensations served here. The wine list is also impressive. Parkhaus Schlossberggarage across the street is a convenient parking option for motorists.
