Recently relocated to Mersea Island, this intimate restaurant is something of a passion project for Chef Ben Crittenden, who works alone in the kitchen crafting a 6 course set menu with bags of appeal. His dishes may appear quite delicate in their looks but they offer plenty of flavour and contrasts in texture, along with ingredients that are clearly sourced with care – like delicious shh’annu lamb from Lockerbie.
